Electronics Engineer Position:
ACI Medical, LLC, established in 1984 and a leader in new medical device creation, is seeking an electronics design engineer who is a self-starter, team player, creative problem solver, and enjoys having diverse responsibilities in a small company atmosphere.
General Responsibilities:
- Develops electromechanical devices and written design documents
- Develops circuitry, embedded firmware and PCB layouts using best practices
- Provides complete PCB fabrication and assembly packages for turnkey PCB assembly
- Versed with CAD tools for schematic capture, PCB layout and mechanical design
- Working collaboratively with fellow engineers to bring devices from design to production
- Documentation – BOM, ECO, part specifications, write failure analysis reports
Projects that applicant will be working on include new product designs and development of existing products; some sustaining and manufacturing engineering.
Position Requirements:
- BSEE/MSEE with 3-7+ years of hands-on experience
- CPLD, VHDL, microcontroller with 8051 assembly language preferred
- Versed with CAD tools for schematic capture, PCB layout and mechanical design
- Working knowledge of electronics manufacturing, test, PCB processing, design for manufacturability
- Miscellaneous- quality, documentation, sourcing, vendors
Bonus Skills that are Desired:
- Programming– C/C++, Java
- Previous medical device development experience
- EMC design for reduced radiated and conducted EMI (EN 60601-1-2)
- Experience with Medical Regulation Compliance– FDA 21 CFR Part 820, EN 60601-1, ISO 13485, etc.
